Privacy Policy

This page publishes the privacy policy content directly as HTML for better readability and better bot compatibility on `partswale.shop`.

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy describes how Pacecode Technology Private Limited and the PartsWale platform (collectively "PartsWale", "we", "our", "us") collect, use, store, share, and protect personal data when you use PartsWale services. This includes the website at https://partswale.shop, related registration and payment pages, support channels, connected operational services used to run orders, notifications, delivery, and support, and the Android apps identified below.

Please note that you may be able to browse certain sections of the Platform without registering with us. We do not offer any product or service under this Platform outside India and your personal data will primarily be stored and processed in India. By visiting this Platform, providing your information, or using any PartsWale service, you agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy, the Terms and Conditions, and applicable Indian law. If you do not agree, please do not use or access our Platform.

2. Which apps and services this policy covers

This policy applies to:

  • PartsWale Mechanic (`shop.partswale.mechanic`)
  • PartsWale Dealer (`shop.partswale.dealer`)
  • PartsWale Rider (`shop.partswale.rider`)
  • the PartsWale website, registration pages, payment pages, support channels, and related notification or operational services

3. What data we collect

We collect personal data when you register, log in, upload information, place or fulfil orders, receive notifications, contact support, or otherwise interact with PartsWale. Depending on the service or app you use, we may collect the following categories of information:

  • Account and profile information: name, phone number, role, shop name, district, rider vehicle type, UPI ID where provided during rider registration, and other onboarding details.
  • OTP and authentication information: OTP session identifiers, verification identifiers, login session records, token expiry information, login timestamps, device label, IP address, and user agent.
  • Device and technical information: browser type, app version, device or notification identifiers generated by service providers, permission state, and technical diagnostics necessary for security or troubleshooting.
  • Location information: registration location, reverse-geocoded address, rider live or last-known latitude/longitude, location update timestamps, and delivery-related route context.
  • Camera and media information: pickup and delivery proof photos captured in the Rider app, and part or request photos uploaded by mechanics or dealers.
  • Order and transaction information: item details, route and assignment data, request, quote, order, delivery status, invoice or bill data, payment status, checkout references, payout state, settlement records, and operational history.
  • Notification information: push registration identifiers, OneSignal identifiers, subscription identifiers, external ids, push permission status, and push preference state.
  • Support and communication information: messages, call or support records, operational contact data, and grievance-related submissions.
  • Local device storage data: information stored using cookies, local storage, session storage, webview storage, Capacitor/native app storage, or similar technologies to keep you signed in and preserve operational app state.

You may choose not to provide certain information, but some features or workflows may not function correctly without it. If you receive an email, message, or call claiming to be Pacecode Technology Private Limited or PartsWale asking for card PIN, net-banking credentials, or similar secrets, do not share them and report the incident to the appropriate authority.

4. OTP and authentication data

We use SMS-based OTP verification to authenticate mechanics, dealers, and riders. In connection with this process, we may process your phone number, OTP session id, verification id, login attempt information, device label, IP address, user agent, and session expiry information. OTP delivery and verification may be handled through third-party verification providers such as MessageCentral or equivalent service providers engaged by us.

5. Location data

We collect location data in different ways depending on the service:

  • During onboarding or registration, we may collect latitude/longitude and derive an address from that location to register the relevant shop or rider operating location.
  • For the PartsWale Rider app, we may collect and process foreground and background location information, including last-known location, location update timestamps, and route-related delivery context, in order to assign jobs, monitor delivery progress, verify pickup or delivery workflow conditions, support operational safety logic, and provide delivery-related visibility to the platform.

Background location is used only for operational rider workflow purposes and not for advertising.

6. Camera, photos, and app permissions

Certain PartsWale features require image capture or image upload. For example, the Rider app may require pickup or delivery proof photos, and mechanic or dealer workflows may allow part, order, or request-related photo uploads. These images may be stored and processed together with order ids, actor ids, timestamps, and related operational metadata. Where photo workflows are linked to delivery validation, associated location metadata may also be processed.

Depending on the app and role, PartsWale may request access to permissions such as notifications, camera, foreground location, background location, and related device capabilities. These permissions are used only for app features such as order updates, rider tracking, photo proof capture, and workflow continuity. If you deny certain permissions, some app features may not function properly.

7. Push notifications and communication

We use push notification services, including OneSignal and platform notification infrastructure, to send order, request, payout, delivery, operational, and support-related updates. For this purpose, we may process push registration identifiers, subscription identifiers, provider-side external ids, notification opt-in state, permission state, and related device or app metadata.

We may also contact you through SMS, instant messaging apps, calls, or e-mail for OTP delivery, support, onboarding, order workflow updates, grievance handling, and other operational purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

8. Device storage and session persistence

PartsWale may use cookies, local storage, session storage, webview storage, and native app storage technologies to keep users signed in, preserve drafts, store session tokens, remember app preferences, maintain rider operational state, maintain notification settings, and support security and troubleshooting. This stored information can include authentication tokens, expiry timestamps, actor ids, active order references, OTP challenge state, rider tracking preferences, online/offline preferences, and other app-state data necessary to operate the service.

9. How we use data

We use personal data to:

  • register and manage mechanic, dealer, and rider accounts
  • verify identity through OTP login
  • create and manage requests, quotes, orders, deliveries, and support workflows
  • assign riders and monitor order fulfilment
  • capture pickup, delivery, and proof-of-work records
  • send app, SMS, or operational notifications
  • process payments, payouts, refunds, reconciliation, and fraud checks
  • secure sessions, investigate abuse, and maintain system reliability
  • troubleshoot technical or operational issues
  • comply with legal and regulatory obligations

10. Payments and financial information

We may process payment and financial workflow data to create, reconcile, or verify orders and settlements. Depending on the flow, payment handling may involve third-party payment partners such as Razorpay, PhonePe, banks, UPI-related providers, payout partners, and related service providers. We may store transaction references, payment status, checkout session data, payout state, settlement records, and limited financial profile data such as rider UPI ID where provided.

Sensitive card or bank credentials entered directly on a third-party payment page are governed by that provider’s systems and policies, not by PartsWale directly.

11. Sharing of data

We may share personal data with:

  • other PartsWale users involved in the same transaction or fulfilment flow, where needed to complete the service
  • logistics and delivery participants
  • payment and payout providers
  • SMS or OTP verification providers
  • push notification and messaging service providers
  • cloud hosting, storage, analytics, infrastructure, and support vendors
  • regulators, law-enforcement authorities, courts, or government bodies when legally required

We do not sell personal data in exchange for money. We share data only to operate the service, comply with law, secure the platform, prevent fraud, or complete the workflow requested by the user.

12. Rider background processing disclosure

For the PartsWale Rider app, the app may run a foreground location service and related scheduling or restart logic to support delivery operations, background location updates, and rider shift or job tracking. This may continue when the rider is online or handling an active workflow, subject to the app’s operational logic, permission state, Android system rules, and user or device settings.

13. Storage, retention, and deletion

You may request account deletion or data deletion by contacting our grievance officer through the contact details provided in this policy or through any dedicated deletion-request page or support channel that we publish. Users may need to contact the grievance officer directly for account-deletion assistance. We may retain certain data for legitimate business, fraud-prevention, security, dispute-resolution, tax, accounting, legal, or regulatory reasons. When retention is required, we will retain only the data reasonably necessary for those purposes.

We retain personal data for no longer than is required for the purpose for which it was collected, unless longer retention is required under applicable law or for the purposes stated above. We may continue to retain data in anonymised or aggregated form for analytics, operational review, or research purposes.

14. Security

To protect your personal data from unauthorised access or disclosure, loss, misuse, or unlawful processing, we adopt reasonable security practices and procedures appropriate to the nature of the data and the service. Once your information is in our possession or whenever you access your account information, we apply security controls intended to reduce unauthorised access.

However, transmission of information over the internet cannot be guaranteed as completely secure for reasons beyond our control. By using the Platform, users accept the inherent security implications of data transmission over the internet and remain responsible for protecting their login credentials and device access.

15. Your choices and rights

You may request access to, correction of, or updates to your personal data through the functionality we provide or by contacting us using the details below. You may also withdraw consent for future processing in cases where consent is the legal basis, subject to legal, operational, and contractual limitations.

If you disclose to us any personal data relating to another person, you represent that you have the authority to do so and permit us to use the information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

16. Children / intended audience

PartsWale services are intended for business, delivery, and operational users and are not directed to children.

17. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product, operational, legal, or technical changes. When required, we may notify users through the app, website, SMS, or other reasonable communication channels.
